Ask any snowmaker what's the best temperature he can make snow at and you'll probably here them say 28ºF or -2ºC Wet bulb or something similar to that.

Beating -2ºC seems to be the holy grail.

For years people have tried to produce snow in temperatures that are not conducive to snowmaking.
